In the beginning of their marriage, Cindy and her husband moved frequently and often out of state. In the recession of 2008 it became clear that these circumstances would be the norm for their family. As the children approached school-age, homeschooling became the only way to provide a consistent education with both parents in the home.

In 2010, they began their homeschool journey in the state of California. Using classical influences, she started with an eclectic approach to learning. She found that the children responded quickly to learning techniques that were not the norm in traditional schools. This eventually led to using an unschooling style with all their children.

Having homeschooled in California & Utah, their family moved to Florida in 2014 where they currently reside.

In May of 2023, she graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in Education Sciences-Educational Technology. With over 12 years of home educator experience, she hopes to help others in their homeschool journey.
